This is the first time Business Improvement Associations have come together collaboratively to work on a project province wide at the same time. It was an exciting opportunity to make a difference and promote such an important message of energy conservation.
In addition to encouraging people to turn down the heat at home and at work this campaign also encouraged people to wear sweaters and donate sweaters and warm articles to those in need. 17 business communities across the province encouraged donations. The goal was to raise 2500 sweaters in total. They doubled their goal and raised over 5000 sweaters to donate to local charities.
